Resurrection ‘F’ is the second film of the Japanese animated series of dragon ball z: revival of f, which is supervised by the producer of series Akira Toriyama. This film is considered as an official part of the Dragon Ball series, like the all the previous films. The plot of the movie is focused on the return of villain Frieza, thus explaining the title dbz: revival of f. after the arrival of Frieza, he carries out the extensive physical training for the first time in life so that he can defeat the Super Saiyans.

The Dragon ball z: fukkatsu no f or dragon ball:

revival of f has gained worldwide fame after its release, in both Japanese and other local languages. Madman Entertainment released the film in cinemas of Australia on August 6, while Manga Entertainment released it in theaters of UK in September 2015.

Dbz: revival of f received the most favorable reviews, even the critics praised the quality of graphics and fast action sequence. Few criticized the storyline considering it to be little rigid and only specific to a particular amount of audience who have got interested in such types of action animated films.


The dragon ball z: revival of f was announced back in July 2014. The poster of movies contained the image of Son Goku from the Super Saiyan, describing the Toriyama’s credit to the design of characters and the screenplay. According to the writer of the film, this film will be the continual of the Battle of Gods, with the extra amount of action scenes. Even the flyer contains the same image with the picture of Shenlong on its back side.

In November 2014, the title of this film Dragon Ball z: fukkatsu no f, was declared along with the basic plot of the story. The poster of the film came which has the images of Frieza, Goku, Vegeta, Son Gohan, Krillin, and Piccolo as well as the God of Destruction Beerus and Whis from the Battle of Gods. The new characters were also introduced as the slaves of Frieza, Sorbet, and Tagoma.

The second trailer of dbz: revival of f came on March 2, 2015, displaying the Frieza’s new form, having a covering of gold and purples shades on his skin. Others things which this trailer exhibited were the defeated faces of Gohan and Goku, a fight between Frieza’s henchmen with Piccolo, Master Roshi, Krillin, and TeinShinhan. It also revealed the features of Jaco from Toriyama’s manga series.


Similar to the previous part, the music of Dragon Ball Z: Revival of f was composed by Norihito Sumitomo. The theme song was developed by Z no Chikai along with the Japanese music group, Momoiro Clover Z. According to the producer Toei, each crew member was the fan of this song. It was released on April 29, 2015, and included a cover of Hironobu Kageyama’s Cha-la Head-cha-la, the original theme of dragon ball z. The English version of this song was released later too.
